James knew he was meant to be in his hometown today. Totally! He didn't forget and sleep in at all. That was why he was napping on his way there, after all. He definitely woke up early... totally....
Okay, so maybe he forgot and slept in and still managed to be tired. No big deal! He was on his way now, clearly! Just... After stopping in Danali Town. It had always been James' favorite place. Plants AND ghosts? What isn't there to love about that? Not to mention he'd always been fond of art, wanting to be an artist himself since he was young.
So he told his tropius, Nina, where to go and settled on her back. The steady movements of her walking was what lulled him to sleep in the first place, really. That's why it came as such a rude shock when the rocking suddenly stop and Nina let out a gentle rumbling sound from deep in her throat.
James stirred and sat up "Wha....? Oh." They had arrived, it seemed. "Thanks, girl. You did a good job," he fished a treat from his satchel and held it up to her mouth. "Let's see if we can find something nice for detti. Make up for... being late."
Nina nodded and grunted, then trudged into the main part of the city while James leaned against her neck lazily.
