[OPEN] First interview of spring!

It was his big day. Not only was it his birthday (if you asked him, he'd say ten with a toothy grin), but it was Creation Day: the day trainers set out to attempt the Pokemon League. He had seen programs on TV about it all too often, and he had to be a part of it. It was the day he would set out to challenge the gym leaders and go to claim his spot in the Elite Four. People would admire him, he would get his time on screen, and his sisters would be cheering him on the entire time.

That was in the house. Now he was standing on his porch, shoulder bag full of beginners trainer gear, Cherry bouncing around his feet with Lemon chasing her, and he was wondering if this was a mistake. Was he too young? Trainers always started their journeys so early like this, but was he too young? Maybe. But his fantasy, the only reason he was out here, was still fresh in his mind. He bent down and picked up the Chinchou, earning a squeak of indignation. "Shh. We're gonna... we're gonna go just lemme hold you." He spun around, searching for Cherry.

She was gone. Oh no. Not even an hour of being outside, and he had already lost his first Pokemon. This was a disaster. He took a couple steps off of his porch, and walked out into the open. Oh, there she was. She was watching a crowd gather. A crowd? Why a crowd? Oh. That's why there was a crowd. In the middle was a TV star. The TV star. Mettaton. In Accaliko, right there. His Pokemon were helping out like always. A live TV star, one he only dreamed of seeing in person, and he was in person.

Neo took a couple steps forward to get a better look, Cherry hopping back to her trainer as the star talked about today. It was loud, very loud, and Neo brought a hand up to fidget with the brim of his hat. The camera being handled by Mettaton's Pokemon swiveled in his direction, and suddenly the spotlight was on him. Mettaton was talking to him. Oh. Either he was the luckiest, or unluckiest person ever. First day out of the house, being asked a question by the Mettaton, and being broadcasted. Already he was on TV. The Chinchou in his arms stirred and brought Neo out of his stupor to finally answer the question, but he couldn't stop scuffing his feet into the dirt.

"I-I'm gonna s-start my j-journey t-today." A pause. "A-are you t-the r-real M-Metta... M-Mettaton?" The Azurill started bouncing around Neo's feet again, keeping an eye on the TV host.
